SEPT 29 - IMMIGRATION STUDY FORUM – FREE AND PUBLIC WELCOME!

 

         The League of Women Voters is conducting a study on Immigration.  We invite you to join us in our learning process as we bring together speakers for this free event exploring the following topics:

 

Immigration Policy: Family Reunification                                                             What Motivates Immigration to America?

Federal Immigration Policy: Enforcement Issues                                                  Immigration: Diversity and Inclusion

Effects of Global Interdependence on Migration                                                  Economic Aspects of Authorized and Unauthorized Immigration

Immigration and the Economy                                                                            Overview: Federal Immigration Policy and Proposed Reforms

Community Team Meetings     

   

East Valley Team meets the 4th Thursday of the month at the Tempe office (2510 S. Rural Rd.) at 11:30 am with the following exceptions:

 

October:         Meet 11th and 25 th at 11:00 for lunch/business; Study at 11:30

November:     Meet 8th  and 29th at 11:00 for lunch/business; Study at 11:30

Phoenix Team meets the 2nd Wednenday of the month at 9:30 am at the Terraces (16th St. and Morten)

Scottsdale Team meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10 am at the Civic Center Library in the Gold Room (3839 Drinkwater Blvd.)
